My name is Rebecca Carley and I am a registered Nutritional Therapist, having graduated with a BSc in Nutritional Therapy from the University of West London. I am also a Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders, from NCFED and I am a Julia Buckroyd trained Understanding Your Eating Practitioner. I am registered and regulated by BANT and the CNHC and I work to a strict code of conduct.

I have struggled with binge eating issues throughout my life, so I have a deep understanding of how difficult emotional eating is to live with. I understand the guilt, the shame, the crippling inability to resist cravings and the secrecy and powerlessness of binges. I have done the extreme diets and lost loads of weight, only to pile it all back on and some afterwards!

During my time training for my Nutritional Therapy degree, I soon started to realise that it wasn’t just about the food I was eating but why I was eating it and what I was using it for. I soon embarked on further training in eating disorders and throughout this work, I discovered a lot about myself and started my own road to recovery.

We all know what we ‘should’ be eating but sometimes we may need help in understanding why we are not doing that and why we are eating the way we are. I would like to use my knowledge and experience to be able to help you to improve your relationship with food and with yourself. You may not feel like it now, but you are amazing and together we are going to rediscover that!

Nutritional Therapy is a complementary therapy that works alongside your primary healthcare provider. Combined with eating behaviour coaching, it can help you to tackle emotional and binge eating issues. At Leaf, I take into account any past and current health issues, emotional trauma and current environmental conditions specific to you in order to work on a personalised plan.
